When we awaken from this "Trance," we wish we could have our amnesia back.. Lady is the height of folly, an endeavor as wrongheaded as The Postman, as foolish as any 'vanity' project of the past 20 years.. For a while, "Trance" had me guessing, and more or less hooked. Then the violence, motivations, double-crosses and fantasy/reality tangles became tedious.. It has the lush decrepitude of an autumn compost heap or an old Hammer werewolf flick.. The feeling of patent unbelievability never leaves...
